The great news is, my BB- Beloved Brother, - is now the very proud Grandfather of a little girl.
Welcome to the world Sofia, and Welcome to our Family!
I know everyone in the family is so happy at this little girl's safe arrival. I wish I could be there to give them all a huge hug.
Sofia will be a very lucky little girl, with her diverse heritage. I hope her life is long an happy, and filled with love, and happiness.

This is a free treat, from the week past.
A lovely young Magpie, who seemed to regard our balcony railing as a safe landing.
It was, indeed.
He/she turned to look, at who might be taking pictures of it's royal self.
It was raining, and we decided the feather fluff, was to combat the wet!

This was a recent evening sky scape.
A little threatening, perhaps. It proved to be all threat, and no action, thank goodness. Another evening pic, with, to me, the worry lines of the day, written in the clouds.
I missed the following evening's pics, with the soft pink blush of the cloud-cheeks of the evening. The gentle promise, in the soft hue, of the lovely day to follow.
We have had no Summer, as we know it, but I have enjoyed the lack of heat, and mostly, the lack of humidity. It is a strange 'Summer', in that we have had so much hard rain, and cloudy outlook, it has hardly seemed to be a 'Summer season', in many ways.
I am not a believer of "Global Warmimg" as positedf by some. I am a beliiever of climate change, which is a natural reccuring event in the evolution of the Planet Earth. It has happened mamy times before, and will happen many times again, in the history of this planet.
I know man's impress with Carbon emissions are damaging, but I also feel, it is like a gnat's f*rt in the evolution of the Earth. I could go on, boringly, but I will not.

In other hideous events, I have possibly, broken a toe. An empty glass bottle landed on the top of my big toe, and the resultant pain, agony, and bruising have been quite spectacular! Haha!

Ouch Meggie! That toe looks SORE! Congratulations on the arrival of GrandNiece. And you've perfectly stated my feelings about global warming. Or lack thereof. We're just a little blip in the big, recurring picture. Have a good week Sweet Meggie and pamper that toe!
Nothing like a newborn baby to revive hope, is there? I have been told that there will be no more grandchildren for me, I will have to wait for the next generation of babies. I am okay with that.
The picture of your toe sent a pain up my leg! I have done similar things to my feet. Poor feet are already under great stress, having to lug around this body!!
Ouch. The toe looks so sore, Meggie - but I am SO glad to hear you are doing hydrotherapy. It has saved my sanity and I have grown to love it. And it keeps me moving and the knee working so it is all good.
Welcoming a beautiful little one into the family is such a delight, isn't it - life beginning.
I just read your last post too. And I understand. I really do. I think of you so often, and I know how some days are good some ok and some dire. Email me any time you need someone to talk to - but I am also so glad you have a great counseller. Hugs, my friend.
Ouch on the toe, I can certainly sympathise having done something similar recently. Take it easy until your toe heals, if you can. New babies are such a gift of hope to the world, aren't they?
I too wish the new arrival of your family well. What a lovely first photo.
I share your views on climate change exactly!
You do know to put a cushion under the bed clothes to keep any weight off a sore toe or foot. I hope it's not broken.
Your Summer sounds slightly worse than ours and it was pretty bad.
Hugs from BOP.
Congrats all around, dear Meggie, on the safe arrival of sweet little Sofia---I love that name. :) Lovely cloud pictures and Oh my I do love your Magpie photo. So Imperial. Girl, woman, you have got to be more careful what you are using your toes to block from the floor. ;D So happy that you have found the joys of swimming again. Hugs.
Ah, your nephew looks proud, his wife looks very glad to have this all behind her and little Sophia looks totally bushed.
I LOVE the photos of the Magpie!
And sorry about the toe, Meggie. But you know you shouldn't drink out of the bottle. As time goes on they tend to become slippery! (BIG grin!)
Congratulations to your family on the arrival of Sofia. I love magpies. AT our last weekend away they warbled away for hours, making me happy inside. As for your poor toe: OUCH!!!
Congratulations and ow!
Oh, your beautiful sweet niece. I have always loved babies. I know your's will grow up so loved!!
Your poor toe. Mine has looked like that every now and then. I hope your's will soon be back to normal.
I love your sky shots. And your bird pics. We are already 81 today so I guess we'll get summer instead of spring. I'm enjoying it!!
My goodness! Yes, that toe looks as though it's broken!
Congratulations on your new, beautiful great-niece!
Ouch!! That toe looks so sore! I hope the pool visits keep up their curative powers and it's better quickly.
We have had, for us, no winter this year. I'm thrilled to have had early summer temperatures in early March. But April can be a cruel month so I'm not counting on this lasting, although I wish it would!
Congrtas on the new wee one, and commiserations on the toe. I hope it's better now?
Such good news about a new family member. You had a queer summer; our winter was non0existent and we are so dry there are fire warnings issued. Hope that toe heals quickly!
