Benefits

I am finding the uploading of photos, in the order I choose to be very difficult, with the new formatting of Blogger.
Am I alone in this? Or is it more complicated  confusing, than it used to be?

I am so lucky to have friends. Look what I got this week! A wonderful gift, from a friend, who knows just how to make me happy! I LOVE this book! I has some brilliant quilt patterns. The Instructions are marvellous, & I am sure I will be making more than one quilt from this great book.

There was the added bonus of these magazines... which I did not have already! There is a quilt in one, which I am about to cut for.
Several other brilliant ideas, which never go amiss, as we Quilters know!

We have had SG -Small Grandson- staying for a few nights.
He was a model guest & an absolute delight to have.
Here he is showing Nanna his Nintendo DS. He spent some time assisting his Grandfather to play Mario, and though Gom's eyesight is failing, he made a great effort to get the hang of it all!

Now, this is where it gets a little strange in the posting 'compose' mode.
On my screen, I see the Christamas stocking first.
However on the preview I see the Reality pic of the back yard garden is the next.
See the giant Phallic Symbol tree, belonging to our Neighbour?
It houses Indian Myna bird nests, & we hope he has trimmed them so that they are frightened away... somehow I doubt it.

According to the Preview, the next pic is my lovely Cousin's jump start on Christmas!
Lovely Bright Red Stockings. I think my other lovely Cousin, her sister, is going to have them on her stall. Good luck!

Preview indicates the next pic is the beautiful quilt my Beloved Cousin J made, to gift to the Hospice, which I understand, is where here SIL passed away. It is called Promise of Peace. The Hospice intend to hang it in the "Quiet Room", which I feel is very appropriate. I love the soft colours.

Last but not least, how sweet is this!
What sweet little bundles of love, complete with labels!!

If you are lonely, or bereft, please consider adopting a pet. They all deserve a chance at life, & can often save lives, just by being so loving & giving, to owners who may have been in despair.
The plainest looking pet, can give love & devotion that can far outweigh the 'face'value!!

Adorable little pups - and that's from a non dog person!! Love that quilt - the colours are so soft and gentle I am sure the hospice patients will find it restful or even their relatives if indeed they are the ones who use the quiet room.

I too find that the pics never seem to come up where I want them and too the spacing isn't what it looks to be on the screen before posting - oh well we can still read it all OK!

Just when I thought I had finally figured out how to include photos, it seems that the system has changed. Gulp.
I love those pups, but not as much as your grandson.
I am a cat person, but you can't have cats in the same house as an unsteady old person.

It takes forever to upload photos.... and I don't like it when they change anything that I have finally figured out!

The little pups are adorable. Good to see new life to remind me to look ahead....

Shhhh! No trouble here.....yet! Now at I have it figured out it's a given they'll change it. Just to keep me on my toes. Sweet puppies, both human and animal! My F-I-L is so lonely, but cantankerous and stubborn. would never even consider getting a pet. But it would be the best thing in the world for him. Sigh.

Haven't seen that quilting book yet. That friend knows how to please you for sure!

Blogger seems to work the same for me as it always has. If I get a picture in the wrong place... I just copy and paste it where I want it and then cut it out where it is not suppose to be... I know what I'm talking about... but I'm not good at explaining ...LOL

No matter which order... your pictures are wonderfu.. love seeing the back yard and SG...

lovely mum and babies :)

I haven't had any problems with blogger, but I have been using the new blogger in draft for ages because I found it so much easier to use photos! The old version just stuck them all at the top f the page and i had to twiddle with the html to move them sometimes!
I will pay more attention on my next post!

Oh, technology!

Sweet puppies and SG!

Awww, those puppies are so cute! So is SG -- you need to have them all in the same picture -- wouldn't SG love that???

oh love these puppies. Noop no problems with the uploading of photos but than again I never use preview. Just post and it always shows all right. Do you use the updated version now? Great this wonderful new inspiration for making quilts Wat a nice gift.
Meggie I wish you a wonderful weekend. We just had Show day and it felt like a winter day

SG sounds like a real love. Love these little glimpses into your life :)

You are so right about that last paragraph. Animals do not need to be pedigree to give and take love. I love all animals but I must say I don't see extreme cleverness or faithfulness or lovingness in just the expensive ones.

Yes Meggie, Bugger has become more difficult of late with the introduction of the new version esp. with no spell check.

You should be able to cut and paste the photos into the order you want?

I'm seeing a very strong family resemblance between you and SG in that last photo.

Yes, the new improved Blogger is dreadful; I went back to the old clonky one - until recently, when I changed to a Mac, and find everything about Blogger is dreadful now.... you can't win, can you!

Nice to listen to Eddie Vedder while blog-browsing.

I have always had problems with Blogger & uploading images. But, I solved the problems by getting Windows Live Writer - a FREE downloadable program from Microsoft. It is the only way I post to my blog, now.

Go to microsoft.com > Download Trials (drop down menu ... Windows Live downloads) > Blogging, click Writer.

It is a very easy program to use. There is no learning curve to it. And it cuts out the frustration I had with images moving around on me on Blogger and images that didn't get enlarged when clicked on. And you can round the corners on images and give them shadows and other effects.

As you know, we adopted our pet -- the wonderful Max -- a little more than a month ago and we haven't regretted it for a second. I would exhort others to do so as well.

I'm not using blogger any more but if I remember correctly, they upload in reverse order -- kind of a pain when you're trying to post several photos at a time.
