A New Year Wish

May peace break into your house, and may thieves come to steal your debts.

May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 bills.

May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!

May your clothes smell of success like smoking tyres and may happiness slap you across the face
and may your tears be those of joy.

May the problems you had forget your home address!

In simple words

May 2007 be the best year of your life!!

A wish that was sent to me. A slightly different slant on things!

A little outing yesterday was a nice change of pace & scenery. We went to visit some Op Shops while out, & I found some nice Fat Quarters for 50c each.

We noticed that the prices seemed a tad high, in some shops, & I overheard a mother & daughter comment, that some items were more than the cost new!
I wonder who prices things? I suppose it is some volunteers?

Today I intend to really try to start something in the sewing line... even if it working on UFO's.

Hi, Meggie - I so glad that you visited my blog, because I have sure enjoyed reading yours. You have a knack of saying all of the things that I am thinking, but it must get stalled somewhere between what's in my head and what my fingers will type. I'll be checking in on you from time to time.

That's a lovely set of wishes...and may they all come true this year!!

By the way, what are Fat Quarters?

Hi, I know, the Fat Quarter thing sounds so bloody FAT!
It is a quilter's term for a quarter of a yard- yes quilters work in old measures- but I do believe they use quarter meters now. But it is cut on the half meter fat...which sounds so ludicrously lewd, you know it cant be true. It is a 1/4 of a meter, but cut up the centre & so, is not a long fat 1/4, as in across the whole width of the fabric, but a FAT 1/4 cut on the square of the fabric... er does that make sense??? Probably not... but I cant think of another explanation.

Muzbot- I hear your wishes & hope we can all attain some of them!
I love your zest for your life!
