Prophecy

You wrote "I LOVE YOU" in the sand.

We walked, arm in arm, along the beach.

By the time we returned, the tide had washed your words away.

The clouds hid the sun.

The wind was chill.

Lovely verse. Clever picture in the sand...just beautiful. Reminded me of a happy day when on my 40th birthday my two sons and my hubbie and I were celebrating by being at the seaside. Suddenly our boys ran off to explore the beach. After a few minutes they shouted on me to go and see what they had found. There, on the sand, carved in giant letters by a piece of wood, it said Happy 40th Birthday, Mummy! I have a photo of it...and now that I am a lot older, it has become more and more precious to me....and I still have the piece of wood!

Why are alarm bells ringing in my head?

It must be the clouds and the chilly wind.

Very profound.
But you returned TOGETHER and saw the words were washed away.
Perhaps all you needed to do was to re-write the words yourself..and that wind would have blown the clouds away..?

Hmm. This isn't like your usual cheery blog posts. Come back and tell us you're all right.

That seeing sights and smelling smells post was eerie! I've never had any experiences like that at all.

Wow.

Did you write that ? Despite the underlying darkness, it's really really good.

Hope you're ok.

Long lost love? This is such a poignant post Meggie. Are you going to tell any more of the story?

This is lovely, but very poignant, and has left us wanting more!

Hope you had a lovely mother's day, and all is well...
